The Base is an event theme from Sonic Adventure 2. It plays during the several cutscenes: just after Egg Quarters, when Rouge finds out that Doctor Eggman has left for Space Colony ARK; just before Metal Harbor, when Amy breaks Sonic out of his cell on Prison Island; after Mission Street/Aquatic Mine when Tails, Knuckles, and Amy discuss how to find Eggman; before Death Chamber, when Tails, Sonic, and Amy send Knuckles to find the key needed to continue through Eggman's desert base; while Rouge hacks into the ARK computer for information about Shadow; and shortly after Sonic, Tails, and Amy land on Space Colony ARK.
